The Planet Zoo: North America Animal Pack, along with the new free update, will be available for $9.99 on Steam on October 4, 2021. Terrain changes in beginning maps, a new height map feature, deep-water swimming for feline species, route obstacles, and much more are included. This new update to the game includes a slew of new features and enhancements. Update 1.7Īs we’ve come to expect from Frontier Developments’ development team, in addition to this new paid DLC, all players will receive a free update to the main game. Zookeepers will venture into the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains’ foothills to put their talents to the test, transforming a tiny zoo set in swampy wetlands into a fully-functioning success story. As just the second swimming display species to be brought to Planet Zoo, they are guaranteed to excite zoo visitors.Īlso, an exciting new timed scenario is on its way to the pack. Steve: While Jurassic World Evolution 2 and Planet Coaster also fantastic games in their own right, there are no plans regarding any crossover with Planet Zoo. There’s also an Underwater Box Feeder, a Water Temperature Regulator and much more to play around with. This free content update comes packed with lots of new foliage and enrichment items to keep the animals happy and the ability to educate guests through the addition of educational animal talks courtesy of new zoo staff member, the Educator. A new way of planning the layout will be required to make this zoo a success.Īlongside this DLC pack comes Update 1.4. This new locale will challenge players with tight space restrictions and lots of elevation. Plus there is a range of construction items and blueprints players can use to reinvent their zoo and include these new animal exhibits. Though it now seems quite likely PZ support could go into 2023 or beyond. Which leaves room for at least 5 more dlc (3 this year and 2 next year). These animals are the capybara, platypus, wild water buffalo, red-crowed crane. Basically what you need to take away from this is that Frontier are planning to continue releasing dlc for PZ through at least the end of FY22 (Fiscal Year 22) which ends in May 2022. That said, heres my ranking: Aquatic Pack. The Wetlands pack is the ninth DLC installment for Planet Zoo and brings eight new animals for players to manage. So its going to depend a lot on what you personally want in your zoo, what kind of animals you like and how you want to decorate and build. ![]() Players will be able to create themed environments for guests to visit using 170 new scenery pieces such as eye-catching murals, waterfalls and beautifully sculptured animal sculptures to encourage visitors to visit these new areas of their zoos. DLC is heavily subjective because none of them introduce new gameplay features, just decor and animals. Budding zookeepers can learn to care for these new animals and create a beautiful environment for them to live using new construction pieces and a wealth of aquatic foliage. With the new Aquatic Pack players will be able to expand their menageries with five popular water-dwelling animals, including Diamondback Terrapins, playful Giant Otters, exotic Cuvier’s Dwarf Caiman, entertaining Grey Seals and the highly popular King Penguin.
